There are two permission levels that someone can be added as:

Contact: This grants someone calling and messaging permissions.

Guardian: This grants them calling, messaging, and location tracking permissions with JrTrack.

When SOS is activated, it sends an alert to the primary admin on the Mission Control parent app and any Guardians, notifying them of the watch's SOS status. SOS Mode does not directly call 911 or emergency services. Instead, it notifies the admin of the Mission Control app about the SOS status, so that the child's parent or guardian can quickly respond.

The SOS Mode feature is made to be easy to use. To turn on the feature, just quickly press the power button three times. This will start a silent countdown of 15 seconds. The countdown is a safety feature that makes sure the mode doesn't get turned on accidentally, and it gives the child time to cancel it if it was turned on by mistake. The countdown is silent so that it doesn't draw attention during a real emergency.

Once SOS Mode is activated, it triggers a rigorous process of tracking the exact location. The watch updates its location every 30 seconds for 15 minutes, allowing parents or guardians to track the child's movements in real time during emergencies.

With the JrTrack 4 Kids Smart Watch, your child can call 911 for help. In today's day and age, we find it unacceptable that the most vulnerable members of society (kids) are often the least able to get in touch with emergency services.

Parents know best, and the 911 feature is turned off by default.  You can activate this feature when you feel your child is ready for the responsibility. This strategy takes into consideration the child's maturity level and understanding of the feature's importance

When enabled, the watch's phone application displays 911 as an option among other contacts, allowing for quick access during critical situations. 

However, it also includes measures to prevent accidental dialing. When the emergency button is pressed, the watch will ask for confirmation before calling the police to ensure that the call is intentional. After confirmation, the watch starts a countdown before making the call, providing an opportunity to cancel if it was activated accidentally. These measures aim to balance ease of use during emergencies with reducing false alarms.

Live GPS Tracking is a key feature accessible through the parent app. When turned on, it gives GPS updates every minute for 15 minutes. Enabling Wi-Fi on the watch is suggested for the best accuracy.

You can see a detailed record of your child's previous locations by accessing the Location History feature in the device data & settings menu. You can access time-stamped location data for any time of day, with no limit on how far back you can review. You can enable or disable SafeZones to be active for multiple devices, and create SafeZones for different locations. SafeZones can be customized to check various locations your child frequents. For example, you can create a SafeZone for your child's school, which will notify you when they arrive and depart. You can also create boundaries for your child's playtime around the neighborhood, make sure they stay within specific areas at parks or playgrounds, or confirm they're safe when going to and leaving bus stops. These are only a few examples of how SafeZones can support your child's independence while keeping you informed about their daily activities.

The SafeZones feature offers various advantages for families. It allows you to create custom boundaries tailored to your specific needs and receive safety updates when your child enters or leaves designated areas. You can apply SafeZones to one or more JrTrack 4 devices and activate them only during specific hours. This feature provides peace of mind, allowing you to stay stress-free, knowing you'll be alerted to any unexpected location changes.

Through the parent portal, you choose from a growing library of kid-safe apps, including music and non-addictive games. 

A key aspect of the App Station is the level of control it provides to parents. Adults are the only ones authorized to download apps to the watch, making sure that all content is parent approved. In addition, parents can set specific daily limits for each app. This function promotes a healthy balance with technology and discourages too much screen time, helping kids develop good digital habits early on.
