The child does not need a smartphone. JrTrack 5 SE is a standalone cellular kids smart watch with its own phone number and mobile connection. A parent or guardian does need a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone to install the Cosmo app, activate the watch, approve contacts, view location information, and manage parental controls.

Yes! You'll need a Cosmo Membership to activate your watch's eSIM for wireless 4G LTE connection and access to all the great Cosmo features. Once your watch is activated, it can also connect to WiFi.
