JrTrack 5 SE features the same great hardware, with a brand new, fully-updated app experience. The JT5 SE runs on Cosmo's all-new parent platform, giving you a completely rebuilt parent experience, including new features like Routines and School-Fi, updated settings and account management, and so much more!
Can JrTrack 5 watches access the new Cosmo app?
JrTrack 5 users can update their watch firmware to access the latest and greatest on the new Cosmo app. This update will be made available on a rolling basis to all JrTrack 5 users starting mid July.
JrTrack 4 and earlier devices are not currently compatible with the new Cosmo app.
What age is the JT5 SE designed for?
The JT5 SE kids smart watch is built for children ages 6–12. It’s thoughtfully designed to grow with your child, starting with the basics, and giving parents the option to unlock more features as kids ready.
Is JrTrack 5 SE waterproof?
JrTrack 5 SE is built for kid adventures! It has a durable IP68 certification to resist dust, dirt, sweat, and water up to 1.5 meters (5 feet). While JT5 SE is more durable than ever, we still recommend avoiding full submersion from swimming, bathing, etc. to ensure best long-term performance.
Is this a kids phone with its own phone number?
Yes! JrTrack 5 SE is a real first phone for kids, with its own eSIM and phone number for calling and text messaging. Your paid Cosmo Membership activates your watch with reliable service on our Cosmo Mobile network with unlimited talk, text, and data.
Does JrTrack 5 SE need a smartphone to work?
The child does not need a smartphone. JrTrack 5 SE is a standalone cellular kids smart watch with its own phone number and mobile connection.
A parent or guardian does need a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone to install the Cosmo app, activate the watch, approve contacts, view location information, and manage parental controls.
Does the watch work without WiFi?
Yes! You’ll need a Cosmo Membership to activate your watch’s eSIM for wireless 4G LTE connection and access to all the great Cosmo features. Once your watch is activated, it can also connect to WiFi.
Does this need a phone plan?
JT5 SE comes with the latest eSIM technology for reliable coverage that is only compatible with COSMO Mobile service plans. This SIM operates flexibly across major network towers to ensure you've got the best coverage.
You cannot add your own SIM card to JrTrack 5 SE or add a Cosmo watch to another carrier plan.
You can easily activate cellular service via the Cosmo app or Activate page. Cosmo offers flexible, no-contract plans as well as prepaid plans starting at just $9.99/mo equivalent.
