Great question! JrTrack 4 and JrTrack 5 both offer families the basic essentials like calling, messaging, GPS tracking, and access to parent-managed apps through the Cosmo App Station.

JrTrack 5 is built for kid adventures! It has a durable IP68 certification to resist dust, dirt, sweat, and water up to 1.5 meters (5 feet). While JrTrack 5 is more durable than ever, we still recommend avoiding full submersion from swimming, bathing, etc. to ensure best long-term performance.

HaloGPS is Cosmo’s all-new location tracking technology, powered by a state-of-the-art dedicated chip within JrTrack 5. With HaloGPS, parents and guardians get more precision location accuracy and faster location lock. It also enables Cosmo’s all-new Active Tracking feature with rapid location updates every 5-10 seconds (when activated).

Yes! JrTrack 5 is engineered to only allow parent-approved contacts and is firewalled against any spam calls or unknown numbers.

Out of the box, JrTrack has no games at all and comes with only standard features for safety and connection - like calling, messaging, GPS location tracking, activity tracking, etc. 

With Cosmo’s all-new Parent Portal and JrTrack 5, parents can fully customize their child's device to meet their needs. This includes access to a growing library of kid-safe apps from music to simple, non-addictive puzzle games. All apps are installed from the Parent Portal only and are fully parent-controlled with the ability to add or remove apps at any time as well as set daily time limits on each app.

Yes! JrTrack 5 is built from the ground up to be the best GPS location tracking wearable for kids, with a dedicated state-of-the-art GPS location tracking chip. This powers Cosmo’s all-new HaloGPS technology with Active Tracking capabilities. Some of the amazing benefits on JrTrack 5 include:

• Increased location accuracy (up to within 5 feet)
• Faster location lock with aGPS (assisted GPS)
• Real-time Active Tracking capabilities (updated every 5-10 seconds when enabled on the parent app)

You can check your child's location any time using the companion Mission Control parent app. It's also where you can set custom geofence SafeZone areas to receive periodic updates when they enter or leave designated areas.

Safety is at the core of JrTrack 5. Only Cosmo offers SafeCORE which is a four-front set of safety features to make sure your child has the best protection right on their wrist:

• SafeZone Alerts: Set custom GPS geofence zones and receive check-in alerts when your child enters or leaves.
• 911 Calling: JrTrack watches are equipped with 911 calling capabilities which can be toggled on/off by parents in the settings.
• SOS Mode: Children can quickly and discreetly notify their primary contact by double tapping the power button on their JrTrack.
• Trusted Contract List: JrTrack is fire-walled against unknown numbers to keep your child protected. Only parent/guardian approved contacts are allowed through.

Absolutely! With JrTrack 5 has the best kid-safe messaging available with True Texting to send and receive real SMS/MMS messages with parent-approved contacts. Use the on-watch keyboard for free typing, send pre-set messages, or use the all-new voice to text feature with just a tap. You can also send & receive emojis, voice messages, photos, and short videos! JrTrack 5 can even join group messages if all members of the group are approved contacts.

Access to the full Cosmo App Station is included in your Cosmo Mobile Membership plan! However, any apps that require a subscription for use (e.g. Spotify Kids, Calm) are not included with your Cosmo Mobile membership and must be purchased separately. 

JrTrack 5 comes with the latest eSIM technology for reliable coverage that is only compatible with COSMO Mobile service plans. This SIM operates flexibly across major network towers to ensure you've got the best coverage. You cannot add your own SIM card to JrTrack 5 or add a Cosmo watch to another carrier plan.

You can easily activate cellular service on our Activate Page. Cosmo offers flexible, no-contract plans as well as prepaid plans starting at just $9.99/mo equivalent.

JrTrack is only available for sale in the US and Canada. However, JrTrack 5 is equipped with calling coverage across the US, Mexico, and Canada, with your Cosmo Membership at no additional roaming or extra fees!

Calling: You bet! All models of JrTrack can call each other as long as a parent/guardian adds another JrTrack watch as an approved contact via the Mission Control app.

Texting: JrTrack 3, JrTrack 4, and JrTrack 5 models can text each other if both are approved by their respective parents/guardians. All JrTrack watches under the same Mission Control Parent app account will automatically be able to see and call/message each other (our Family Buddy feature!).

We recommend ages 6-12 as the best fit for JrTrack 5!

Yes! Unlike many other kids smartwatches, JrTrack 5 has a photo & video camera, as well as important safety features and parent-approved contacts. That means more moments captured and more ways to safely share memories together!

Yes. We know safety is top of mind for parents and guardians, so we've made it easy to set up emergency calling as an option for your child. In your JrTrack 5 watch settings, parents can toggle 911 "ON" or "OFF" which will add/remove 911 as a contact option for your child within the calling app. There is also a double-confirmation + 5 second countdown to prevent accidental calls. This feature is disabled by default, so make sure to enable this if you want this feature.

Yes, JrTrack 5 is compatible with any smartphone with iOS (Apple) or Android (Samsung, etc.) operating systems. Once your watch arrives, all you need to do is download the Cosmo Mission Control parent app from Google Play/Apple App Store and pair your watch! Using the Mission Control app on your phone, you'll be able to see your child's location, manage settings, approve contacts, and more!

It does! With JrTrack 5, parents get access to Cosmo’s new Focus Mode settings to flexibly tailor your child’s device to their needs. Focus Mode lets you set when and how your child’s device is locked to prevent distractions and help keep them focused on the things that matter most.

• Partial lock: Locks actions on the watch aside from telling time, contacting the primary parent/guardian, and activating SOS alerts.
• Full lock: Locks all actions on the watch aside from telling time and activation SOS alerts

JrTrack 5 has a front-facing camera for taking pictures and recording video. Kids can send pictures & videos to any parent-approved contacts via messages. However, JrTrack 5 does not support video calling.
